3Storyline:
Suburban Virginia schools have been separated for generations, in sight of the Washington Monument over the river in the nation's capital. A black and a white high school are closed and to integrate the students at TC Williams High School by federal mandate. Seen through the eyes of the football team where the man hired to coach the Black school has a very successful trainer white sneakers. Based on actual events in 1971, the team will depend on the unifying symbol for the community as the boys and the adults learn it and trust each other.
